San Sebastián to be the meeting point for cultural innovation, sustainable mobility and medical excellence in March

Donostia / San Sebastián continues to consolidate its position as a leading destination for congresses linked to knowledge, innovation and sectoral development. In March, the city will host three top-tier professional meetings that will gather together experts from fields as diverse as contemporary artistic creation, sustainable mobility and anaesthesiology.

From 3 to 7 March, the Kursaal Centre will be the venue for the II Dantz Network Congress, an international meeting that will attract nearly 1,500 professionals from the avant-garde and electronic music sector. The congress, organised by CONTEMPORARY CONCEPT S.L. and sponsored by Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa, is a space for technology, emerging artistic trends and global culture to connect. This international forum seeks to generate knowledge and partnership around the new forms of creation and innovation within the creative and cultural industries.

In turn, on 25 and 26 March, Ficoba will host the V MUBIL Mobility Expo, run by MUBIL – the Electromobility Centre of Gipuzkoa. Representatives from throughout both the industrial and digital sustainable mobility value chain will be attending this professional meeting, which will further consolidate it as one of the leading meeting points in southern Europe in its field. The event will have over 100 international and national exhibitors from ten European cities; the exhibition space will be focused on driving the social, territorial, technological and economic transformation of the sector towards more connected, accessible, safer and cleaner mobility models.

Finally, from 26 to 29 March, the Kursaal Centre will be the venue for the XXXVIII National Congress of the Spanish Society of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation, and Pain Therapy (SEDAR); over 1,300 healthcare professionals will be attending this event, whose local organiser is Osakidetza (Basque Health System). This congress will be an opportunity to share scientific knowledge, clinical experiences and technological advances in this medical speciality, by fostering both professional networking and partnerships between specialists.

Hosting these events bolsters San Sebastián’s role as a venue for strategic congresses linked to key sectors, such as cultural industries, smart mobility and health, thus contributing to showcasing the city as a competitive and innovative MICE destination that is committed to sustainable development and knowledge.
