This November brings to Donostia/San Sebastián a varied offer of congresses

November will bring a wide range of congresses to Donostia/San Sebastián, homing in on digital education, health, sport, and scientific innovation. Throughout the month, our city will be a meeting point for experts, practitioners and enthusiasts from a number of areas, providing spaces for exchange, collaboration and progress in key disciplines.
14th National Large-Families Congress and 11th Basque Large-Families Congress
On 2 and 3 November Donostia/San Sebastián's Kursaal Conference Centre will be hosting the 14th National Large-Families Congress, an event organised by the Spanish Federation of Large Families in collaboration with Hirukide.
The congress, with approximately 875 participants, will be targeting parents with an interest in education and the digital environment of their children, and will focus on "minors and new technologies", addressing the challenges and threats posed by the digital world with the assistance of experts in this area.
Annual Meeting of the Spanish Neuroradiology Society (SENR)
The 52nd Annual Meeting of the Spanish Neuroradiology Society will be held at Hotel Barceló Costa Vasca in San Sebastián on 7, 8 and 9 November.
The event, which will assemble some 350 practitioners, boasts a top-level scientific programme addressing the current issues of diagnostic and interventional radiology with the assistance of local professionals and their overseas counterparts.
1st International Women's Football Congress
On 21 and 22 November the FICOBA trade fair facility will be the venue for a women's football congress with experts, professional practitioners and leading personalities in the sector, for the purposes of analysing and transforming the panorama of this sport.
The congress seeks to empower and showcase women in football, addressing issues such as the historical evolution of women's football, risk of injury, sexual violence within the sport, and the relevance of female refereeing.
It will consist of two days of discussions, round tables and talks, offering a space for dialogue and collaboration to drive change and equality within the sport.
46th Congress of the Ophthalmology Association of the North (AON)
The 46th Annual Congress of the Ophthalmology Association of the North will be staged on 22 and 23 November at the Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce in San Sebastián.
The event will welcome some 200 professional ophthalmology practitioners to share the latest knowledge and progress made in the speciality, to encourage scientific change and the implementation of new techniques and treatments.
46th Basque Country/Navarra Digestive Pathology Meeting
The 46th Basque Country/Navarra Digestive Pathology Meeting will be held in Donostia on 22 and 23 November at Hotel NH Collection Aránzazu. This event will feature professional practitioners operating in the digestive sector, with a refresher course for young specialists, first-year and second-year associates and residents, which requires pre-registration in association with the main meeting.
Hizkuntzaren Irabazia – Benefits of Language Industry in the Economy
The international forum “Hizkuntzen irabazia”, which will take place on November 26 and 27 at Kursaal and will be attended by 200 participants, will explore the progress of Basque in new language technologies, ensuring its adaptation to current times. It will also offer an insight into the initiatives of other minority languages in Europe, highlighting how they contribute to the economic development of their respective countries and the European Union's position on their evolution and preservation..
Brainhack Donostia (BHD)
The BCBL Centre will be hosting a three-day live workshop on open science and neuroscience from 25 to 27 November. The event will assemble international experts to share cutting-edge methodologies, good practices and key issues in modern research, furthering the development of ground-breaking projects and open-code tools.
The workshop, to be attended by some 70 practitioners, seeks to boost interdisciplinary collaboration and foster new ideas and findings, reaffirming the BCBL commitment to knowledge and collaborative science.
