The "Enbaxadore" programme acknowledges seven new professionals

Seven professionals operating in a number of areas in the city have been appointed as new ambassadors of San Sebastián as part of the "Enbaxadore" Programme launched by the Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa Convention Bureau and the Kursaal Congress Centre.
The objective is public recognition and acknowledgement of the toil and hard work by these professionals in bringing congresses to the city, with the major repercussions this entails for our future, both in economic terms and also as a facility to generate and spread knowledge around us.
The seven new “Enbaxadores” have now joined this “prestigious club”, which was created in 2012 and is now 82 strong. The programme distinguishes professionals from various sectors, such as medicine, science or technology, who, through their own personal contributions and work, have assisted with San Sebastián's presentation of candidatures and the organisation of congresses, supporting and boosting the MICE sector in our city. Consideration is given to national congresses with more than 450 delegates, and more than 200 congress-goers in the case of international events.
The ceremony was held at the "Prisma" in Tabakalera, and the new Enbaxadores were accompanied by Eneko Goia, Mayor of San Sebastián and President of Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa; Javier Larrañaga, the Provincial Council's Secretary for Economic Promotion, Tourism and the Rural Environment, and Board member at the Kursaal Congress Centre; Isabel Aguirrezabala, Managing Director of Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa; and Iker Goikoetxea, Managing Director of the Kursaal Congress Centre.
